Investing in Excellence

The total cost for the Ashton building together with conversion of Vizards playing fields was in excess of £5 million. Kent County Council have contributed over 70% of this cost.

The Development fund therefore need to raise the remaining balance of £1.5 million. The school took out a loan from KCC at preferential rates, over a ten year period to cover this cost, and thanks to the generosity of our parents and OJ's we have received funds and pledges over future years totalling £1,269,983.00!

While this is a wonderful achievement, we do still need to raise promises of a further £230,000.  If we can encourage 200 parents to donate £20 p/month over the 5 years their child is in school, we will be able to raise these additional funds.  Any fundraising in excess of this will enable us to repay this loan sooner than planned and enable us to commence Phase Four.

On behalf of the students, staff and Governors of The Judd School, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have set up regular donations or contributed one-off donations to The Development Fund.

The Judd School now boasts modern, state of the art facilities, both academic and sporting, largely as a direct result of the culture of philanthropic giving that has been established over the last ten years.  We would like to continue to grow and develop, enabling us to provide our students with the best possible all-round education.

With many thanks,
