The Combined Cadet Force has aimed to "provide a disciplined organisation in schools so that pupils may develop powers of leadership by means of training to promote the qualities of responsibility, self-reliance, resourcefulness, endurance and perseverance" ever since it was assembled in 1948, shortly after the end of the Second World War.

The Army Section

The RAF Section

Here in the Judd Section, there is a code which we try to follow closely and we feel our attitude to cadets is summarised by the acronym RISE (Respect. Integrity. Service. Excellence.). Under the supervision of the officers who volunteer large proportions of their time, we create well rounded leaders who go onto to complete the cycle of efficient training.

Currently we find ourselves following the command of Flight Lieutenant Diccox, who has now been an officer in the section for years, and Flight Sergeant Barnett. Flt Sgt Barnett wishes to use the experience he has earned throughout his time at cadets, and the resourceful NCO team he has under him to help bring a new light to the section.

We find ourselves in the situation where we are teamed with our closely situated friends at the Skinners School. We are the first two sections to establish a joint section such as this and it is something we wish to strengthen through the work of Flt Sgt Woodroofe. Notably our co-operation with the boys at Skinners helped us to achieve 5th place nationally at the AST competition; a success we wish to see repeated and improved upon over the years.
