Snowdonia 2022

Year 12 geographers recently returned from a fantastic week of fieldwork in North Wales.

Blessed with warm spring sunshine for almost the entire week, they took part in a range of fieldwork practicals across much of the Snowdonia National Park region. In preparation for their NEA, they investigated coastal management and landforms at Criccieth, water cycling processes in the Conwy Valley, carbon cycling on Migneint Moor, urban processes in Llandudno, sand dune succession on the beautiful Morfa Harlech dunes and experienced the dramatic glaciated uplands around Cwm Idwal and the Nant Ffrancon. A challenging but unforgettable week!
