Music

We want our students to not only understand different styles and genres of music but encourage them to explore, discuss and demonstrate this understanding in creative ways. They are challenged in all lessons to be able to demonstrate understanding and creativity through performance, composition, through collaboration with their peers and through evaluation of their own work. We believe that by making music a fun an interactive subject, that our engagement levels are high, and the students get a lot out of their lessons.

Information on how Music is taught across the Key Stages can be found below

Music - KS3 (Years 7 & 8)

Music - KS4 (Years 9, 10 & 11)

Music - KS5 (Years 12 & 13)

The Music department also runs a busy extra-curricular programme which caters for a number of musical interests.  Students of all abilities are welcome.
