British Physics Olympiad

In November 2023 a group of Y13 students chose to take part in the British Physics Olympiad. It is a competition designed to test students' skill at the subject, and a determination to solve hard physics problems. The paper is a challenge and is not an A level replica or a guide to A level performance. Nor does an expected A* at A level indicate that a top result will be obtained here. It is a very tall ladder of skill, ability and preparedness which students climb until they grind to a halt. Participation itself reflects strongly on a student’s interest and determination.

Last month we finally received the results and this month we were issued with the certificates. Well done to all the students who took part in it.

Special mention to those who achieved a Silver award: Darcey and Luca, a Gold Award: Elizabeth , Manav and Krish. And a very special mention to the one student who achieved a Top Gold award: Kit . Kit was invited to sit the second round of the competition and achieved a Silver award.

An amazing feat!!
