Junior Prize Giving

The Headteacher and staff were delighted to welcome students and their families to the inaugural Junior Prize Winners Ceremony on Wednesday evening.

The evening celebrated the performance of 103 students in years 7-10 during the academic year 2017-18 including their attainment, commitment to learning and progress. As well as speeches from the Chair of Governors, Mr James Leahy, and the Headteacher, the audience were treated to an enthralling talk by OJs Chris Williams and Max Thorne. Chris and Max recently attempted to row across the Atlantic in the 3,000-mile Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge race but met extreme challenges along the way, resulting in a dramatic rescue and spending 3 weeks on a Brazilian oil tanker! You can read more about their story by visiting the Alumni page of this website here.
