Religious Studies

More than 80% of the world’s population follows a religion. How can we understand their beliefs and the way they live their lives? How can we learn to understand and respect other people’s beliefs in an ever diversifying country? How can we learn to navigate the world by adopting and cultivating our own world views? Religious Studies enables us to develop all of these skills.

At Judd we promote a project based approach to learning in Religious Studies, particularly at Key Stage 3, with students working together in groups to put their learning and skills into practice on a range of exciting and unique projects. We also encourage open class discussions to enhance students’ understanding of each others’ views and to explore some of the biggest questions in life, from why we are to whether this is the only life we have.
