Safeguarding
The Judd School considers that the most important job of any member of staff is the safeguarding of students at the school.
The governors have appointed Mrs Middleton (Deputy Headteacher) as Designated Safeguarding Lead; she is assisted by Mr R Vorster (Head of Sixth Form) and Mrs M Owen (Senior HLTA/Welfare Assistant) as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads.
Parents should be aware of all types of abuse, including Physical Abuse, Neglect, Sexual Abuse, Sexual Violence, Peer on Peer Abuse and also Emotional Abuse. Descriptions of these can be found on the NSPCC website (https://www.nspcc.org.uk/preventing-abuse/); additionally there is guidance on spotting the signs of abuse. The NSPCC website also contains lots of other advice, with relation to safeguarding concerns.
