Amazing A Level Results

The Judd School's Year 13 students impressed with an excellent set of results today, testament to their hard work.

This year saw our best results since the return of exams in 2022; in many respects, our best ever!

A higher proportion of students than ever before reached the benchmark of three grade As or better, the majority, in fact, at 53.9% of all students. It was also the greatest number and highest proportion of A* grades we have ever achieved - 269 of them in total, representing 28.6% of all outcomes, beating the record by 49 grades.

Twenty-two students achieved four A* grades, with a further nineteen achieving three.

At first publication this morning, almost 90% of students had secured their places at university or in degree apprenticeships, around 90% of whom at their firm (1st) choice.

Jon Wood, Headteacher, said:

Our Sixth Form has grown so much in recent years, being 70% bigger than just ten years ago. To maintain and indeed continue to improve on the results of the past just goes to show what an incredible bunch of students we are blessed to have and how they encourage one another to outperform expectations.

I remain incredibly grateful to those that make these results possible, beyond the students themselves and their parents; I mean, of course, my outstanding staff, who are always prepared to do that bit more to support students to achieve their best.

Ofsted praised us in March, but these results just go to show that this Sixth Form remains a very special place to study!

These numbers will only go up as people rightly question some of the grades they've received and as many take up amazing places through clearing over the coming days. We look forward to seeing the final list of the next destinations and celebrating with them at Senior Prize Giving on 9th September.
