Judd CS Apps for Good Showcase
Last term, our Year-9 students were working collaboratively to create a mobile app raising awareness for a social action theme of their choosing for the Apps for Good Showcase in April - https://www.appsforgood.org/showcase.
On Friday, our entire Computer Science Year-9 cohort along with individuals from our Sixth Form meet to showcase their apps and present awards that our teachers and Sixth Form have been voting on in the background over the last two weeks.
I am incredibly impressed and proud of the work our students have put in and would have liked to issue more awards and recognition.
However, there is only one podium:
1st Place OutOfTheBlue - Raising awareness of male suicide and raising support for individuals
2nd Place Drug Addiction Service (DAS) - Support, advice and connectivity with other like minded individuals.
3rd Place RecycleWell - Advice on how to recycle at home and on the go.
We will now be submitting all of our students' apps to Apps for Good in preparation for their own Showcase in April.
